Refreshed Visual Identity for iOS 27

On-Device AI Article Summaries

Taking advantage of Apple's newly introduced Foundation Models Framework in iOS 27, the Appleosophy app now offers on-device AI-generated article summaries.

  • Privacy-First Intelligence: Article summaries are generated entirely on-device for supported Apple Intelligence devices, ensuring user data remains completely private.
  • Customizable Settings: Users can easily toggle the summary feature on or off within the app's settings without affecting Apple Intelligence features elsewhere on their device.

Automatic Article Translation via Translate API

To serve Appleosophy's global readership, the app now integrates Apple's Translate API, bringing full article translation capabilities across 27 supported languages.

  • On-Device Localizations: Translation relies entirely on-device, processing text locally without routing article content through external servers.
  • 27 Supported Languages: Supported localizations include English (US), Arabic, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Hebrew, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Norwegian Bokmål, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Ukrainian, and Vietnamese.
  • User Control & Transparency: Translation can be enabled via app settings. When toggled on, users may experience slightly longer loading times, and as with machine translation, resulting article text is unverified and may occasionally render inaccurately.

Availability

The updated Appleosophy app is available to download today on the App Store for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS. On-device AI summaries require an Apple Intelligence-compatible device running iOS 27 or later.
